Captured: America in Color 1939-1943

We usually dedicate this space to all things sound, but when we saw the gorgeous color slides on the Denver Post's website that capture America post Depression, we realized that this was documentary work everyone should see.

Taken by the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information, the content of the images may be familiar to you, but it's the color that really dazzles. We've seen black and white photos from this era, but something different happens when you can see how bright the fabric prints are, or how yellow the dirt.
