4 pioneering groups. Multitudes of helpful and insightful radio producers. One final destination.

The Audio Exchange Project gives youth producers a chance to get help and feedback on drafts of their audio work. Here’s how it works: on a rotating basis, each youth radio group gets the spotlight for 10 days. During that time, they can upload between 1 and 3 pieces, and can let us (the reviewing public) know if there are particular areas they’d like help with.

Feedback from listeners might include questions, suggestions, or concrete advice. Just like the Youth Editorial Board, we’ll be supportive, specific and honest with our comments (if we’re inappropriate, our comments might disappear off the site…). If it’s helpful, a worksheet on peer feedback is attached.

Once pieces have been edited and polished, they’ll be uploaded to PRX by mid-February 2008, for stations and listeners to find.

Here’s the schedule of groups being reviewed:
    December 3 – 14: Blunt Youth Radio
December 17 – January 4th: Brooklyn College Radio
    January 7 – 18: Curie Youth Radio
    January 21 – February 1: Radio Rookies
