What we're listening to: Vox Pops

Ah, vox pops. They're quick to produce, snappy to listen to, and - when they're done well - totally entertaining. What better project for the summer? Vox pop comes from the Latin vox populi, "the voice of the people." And the premise is simple: think of a question, ask a bunch of pe… Continue

Hey! I am actually free today and tomorrow. Do you want to talk about the radio project? I still need help with squirreling some money.. the school is not giving any, Vocalo will not provide any financial help and CPR is uninterested. Local college radio stations are not willing to give money to a project to buy recorders.

There might be a little ray of hope. Our school's student council may be able to invest not more than five-hundred dollars in the project. They give small seed grants to individuals and clubs.. but they won't be able to give anymore than that.

Let's talk soon!

Depressingly, the project hasn't kicked off yet. I haven't had much luck with local resources, after having talked with Chicago Public Radio and Vocalo.

Do you have any other suggestions for outside financing?
