Earlier this year, The British Consulate invited students at the University of Southern California to take part in a competition referred to as the "Click for Change: Educate Africa Contest." Students took part this viral marketing competition to help raise awareness of education in Africa in order to achieve universal primary education. This challenge encouraged students to creatively explore and utilize new media. Organizers of the contest wanted to spread their message of presenting various solutions to the social issues in Africa through these projects. The creator of the winning entry will receive more than $1,000 in Apple products, including a new iPhone. The winner will be announced this Friday, April 18, 2008 at a very special event attended by British Consulate officials. Please see media advisory below. Please contact Joan Wickham at wickham@usc.eduwith any questions.
