Bullied Takes Off

GPRX's Jones talks
Bullied on FoxNews.com

Bullied: Teen Stories from Generation PRX is taking off, both on and off the radio. The hour-long special has been licensed in 16 different cities – from Seattle, to Austin, to Washington D.C. But it's also been spotlighted on the Third Coast Festival library, and featured on FoxNews, both in a written article and as a segment on Jonathan Hunts' show (true story!). The reason for all the pick up? Take a listen.

New PRX Features

Two new features from PRX make everything sharier:

  • Listening Goes Mobile. The new PRX HTML5 audio player makes it possible to listen to PRX on most mobile devices, which means anyone can hear your pieces from anywhere. Got a smart phone? Go to PRX.org and try it! The player also has a clean new look and faster load times.
• Open Streaming. To help producers easily share their work, all new pieces on PRX now allow open streaming by default (producers can still opt-out to limit streaming if they prefer). Find out more about open streaming and sharing options like Twitter, Facebook, and the PRX Embeddable Player.

Casey Medals Open for Youth Media

The prestigious Casey Medals for Meritorious Journalism recognize exemplary reporting on children and families in the U.S. Now they also recognize the importance of a new category of journalists/makers: youth media. Don't delay! Competition closes April 20th; work must have been broadcast during 2011. Details are here.
